About Our Pierre Family
Please sign in to see more.
This page is in the process of being updated, please be patient with me!! I was born a Pierre, and I have found the research into the PIERRE's very interesting. Myself and a few others are busy researching the surname PIERRE. It has not been easy so far, but is coming together at a reasonable rate. So far we have managed to contact a few 'living' relatives, that are also helping us with our research. We never knew of these relations before, and it has been wonderful to be able to get in contact with them.

My Gran Ann Rainsford died in 2001. She knew most of the Pierre history, because she had married into the family. I wish I had asked more questions before she died. She wasn't married to my Grandfather for very long. My Dad's Father Ronald Alexandra Pierre died age 25 of TB, just 1 mth before my Dad Ronald John Pierre was born. My Dad died August 2008, and I intend fully to carry on researching the tree in his memory!

My grateful thanks for all their help with the Pierres has to go to Bill, Harry, Cheryl, Wendy and especially Mike, as without all of their help, I certainly wouldn't have got this far....many thanks to you all! Bringing all our family details together helped put the tree together for the Pierres. We each had a little bit of the jigsaw to put in place. There are still some pieces missing, but no doubt in time, it will all fall in place.

David Simkin researches Photographers in Brighton and all this can be seen on his website.
I have added 2 links for you below to check out. One is the brilliant website page that David has done for Louis Cesar Pierre outlining his photographic days in Horsham, before the family moved to Canada. The 2nd as a link to his full website. Do take the time to visit it.....

I have added more of my husband's side of the family. His mother Norah Dixons side.....the Dixons, Greens, Rowbothams, Wyvills and a few others. Many thanks goes to Jackie Wright for her help with the Greens in Chippenham.

If you think you may be related to any of the names on this site, please email me, I would be happy to hear from you.....

Getting Around
There are several ways to browse the family tree. The Tree View graphically shows the relationship of selected person to their kin. The Family View shows the person you have selected in the center, with his/her photo on the left and notes on the right. Above are the father and mother and below are the children. The Ancestor Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph above and children below. On the right are the parents, grandparents and great-grandparents. The Descendant Chart shows the person you have selected in the left, with the photograph and parents below. On the right are the children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Do you know who your second cousins are? Try the Kinship Relationships Tool. Your site can generate various Reports for each name in your family tree. You can select a name from the list on the top-right menu bar.

In addition to the charts and reports you have Photo Albums, the Events list and the Relationships tool. Family photographs are organized in the Photo Index. Each Album's photographs are accompanied by a caption. To enlarge a photograph just click on it. Keep up with the family birthdays and anniversaries in the Events list. Birthdays and Anniversaries of living persons are listed by month. Want to know how you are related to anybody ? Check out the Relationships tool.
